Bridge Action Plan ( Smoking )

smoking is a harmful  habit and it is hard to break . This poster represent a bridge action plan about students' smoking at school and how it hurts others and affect on their body in a bad way . Smoking causes alot of problems , smokers have bad health and for students it affect their concentration and achievement ,so this is a plan to help students to stop smoking and be careful to their health .

Integrating Technology into Teaching

   Using technology in learning / teaching process is very important because it has alot of tools and applications that are useful for both teachers and students . These tools help teachers to know if students are understand the lesson or not , also it make students more active , more engaged in the lesson .In addition that these tools and application can used to facilitate the teaching process and save time . We also can make different games in order to motivate students to learn in a fun way so they learn without get bored . there are many tools and applications for example : Padlet , Mentimeter , quizlet , exit ticket , Polleverywhere , and Google Form . All these tools and application are useful and helpful and I found that Google Form is one of the applications that help teachers evaluating students' understanding at the end of the lesson or at the end of the unit , we as teachers can use it for quiz also and for final exam for students and there are alot af kinds of questions that we can use in an easy way .

Learn and Play

This is a summary about the video :

    

   The gamification of learning ia an educational approach that uses video games to make students more active and more engaged in learning process .

 There are many games that are used in the video : The first game is World Cup game in power point , in this game we should chose 2 countries to play for example (Argentina vs Croitia ) so we can use this game in the class by dividing the students into 2 groups and then each group will be defending their own country . There are questions to answer them all and at the end we know the winner .

The second game is Nearpod , we should first chose one of the theme ,we can control it and then chose a character but only 40 participants are allowed for this game . There is a timer amd questions and all the questions are multipled ones .

The third game is Escape Room , the main idea for this game is you have a certain time you need to find clues to be able to escape from that room , it is very exciting and students have fun in this game and it increase the communication and help us think out side the box .

There are also another similar games such as Kahoot , Genially, Jeopardy , January, Bingo and World Wall . All these games are similar , they have multiple questions and at the end there is a winner , students should learn and have fun at the same time .

These games are very useful it makes the students  more exciting , more engaged in a fun way and make them more comunication .In addition , using power point make them easier and it can be  a kind of assessment that teacher use to evalute his students at the end of the lesson and sometimes it can be at the end of the session to recaps all information using different kinds of activities . 

Teaching / learning experience

My learning experience is a long and interesting one . After I finished my school , I entered the Lebanese University in Zahle , it was very difficult but I tried to continue as much as I can , the first year was more difficult than any year , everything was strange for me. the second year was easier so I hardly reached to the third year and graduated last year . Then I decided to continue my education and started my TD in  LIU university .

 What kind of skills are you learning?

I learned a lot of applications in this course  for example google form , google docs  and I improved my skills in how can I create a license and a rubric for my work , skills in how to use google applications and how we can use technology    

What do you like about this course?

I like the practically way that we apply all what we learned in the class on computer and also I like how we can create a group with my friends to finish any assignment
